Monnick Supply Co. traces its roots back to 1948 in Framingham, Massachusetts, when two brothers, Nicholas and James Montalbano, along with their three cousins—Theodore, Gregory Sr., and John Montalbano—decided to open a small paint supply store to supplement their income.
While maintaining full-time jobs, they took turns managing the store, dedicating their time and effort to building the business. The name “Monnick” was created by combining the first three letters of their last name, “Mon,” with “Nick,” in honor of the company's primary founder.
